A Budapest Bár zenekarral ünnepeltük a tizedik és tizenötödik születésnapunkat és nem lesz ez máshogy a huszadikon sem. Egy páratlan születésnapi gálakoncerttel indítjuk a jubileumi évadot.

Those attending the early music concert of the BFO’s ensemble playing historical instruments will be able to enjoy an extraordinary father and son event. There will be an abundance of talented members of the Bach family in the program.

Jazz, opera, Broadway musicals: Morgan James is at home in all three. Her amazing voice, enthralling personality and striking on-stage presence were enough to convince Scott Bradlee to invite her to appear in Postmodern Jukebox videos and tour with the band from 2014.

Helicopets are a jazz group led by Warsaw-based composer and guitarist Adam Baran. The group focuses on exploring collective improvisation, drawing from modernity. Their music, set in the convention of a jazz quartet, refers to minimalism, ambient and electronic music, boldly crossing and redefining the genre framework of jazz.

The life of the title character of Wagner’s early opera Tannhäuser, based on the hero of medieval legend, is a struggle between sensuality and asceticism.

The Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel is one of the greatest opera singers of our time. Having given us several chances to hear him at Müpa Budapest before, this time he is coming as a guest of the Budapest Wagner Days festival purely to evoke extraordinary moments from the great German composer’s operas.

Founded in 2018, the Korossy Quartet aims to transmit the famous Hungarian string quartet tradition, and to present the broadest possible repertoire to Hungarian and foreign audiences.

Although Wagner's mature masterpiece, which he wrote after Tristan but before completing the Ring, is officially a comic opera and doesn't stint on entertainment, it is nevertheless much more complex, dealing with youth and old age, love and friendship, art and craft, as well as innovation and conservativism.
