Budafoki Dohnányi Zenekar
Vezényel: Hollerung Gábor

Time and again, Budapest Bár delights the Müpa Budapest audience with their special performances and outstanding collaborators. On this occasion, the ensemble has been invited by Nők Lapja magazine to take the stage in the company of some very special guests. Róbert Farkas, the band’s leader and founder, originally aimed to breathe new life into the genre of Gypsy café music, thereby preserving and revitalizing old traditions.

A magyar-ghánai Sena Dagadu a 21. századi hazai popzene jelentős alakja, akinek az Irie Maffia zenekar és szólóprodukciói mellett meditatívabb, Sena DagaDub nevű triója is igen népszerű. A formáció 2024-ben a magyar zenei élet élő legendáját, Presser Gábort látta vendégül a Müpában, és az együttműködés annyira jól sikerült, hogy a projekt most mindkét fél – és persze a közönség – örömére folytatódik.

The German-born British musician Max Richter, one of the busiest and most popular pianist/composers active in the modern post-minimalist classical genre today, is coming to Müpa Budapest to perform his first ever concert in Hungary.

Legyen a vendégünk ezen a borzongós estén, a libabőr garantált!

Ami közös bennük, hogy ízig-vérig nők a színpadon is, és ízig-vérig női dalokkal ünneplik a Nők Lapja születésnapját. Francia, amerikai, görög és magyar szerzők dalai a nőkről, három csodás művész előadásában. A koncertet Kovács Adrián zeneszerző-karmester és zenekara kíséri.

If we were to sum up Diana Krall in one word, it would probably be ‘beauty’. Beauty perfectly describes her presence, the atmosphere of her records, and the message radiated by her music.

After recording operas by Rameau and his contemporaries, György Vashegyi now conducts Armide, the masterpiece by Louis XIV’s court composer, Jean-Baptiste Lully. Lully’s final lyric tragedy premiered in 1686 and was performed at the Paris Opera until 1766, when it was overshadowed by Gluck’s version of the story based on the same libretto.

The 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic are a unique ensemble, composed exclusively of instrumentalists from the cello section of one of the world’s top symphony orchestras.

How did the world come to be born from chaos? How can music tell the story of light coming into being? What appears in the score when birds fly overhead or the sea rears up? Haydn’s The Creation is filled with evocative musical tricks, from which Ádám Fischer will select highlights for Müpa Budapest’s traditional New Year’s afternoon concert, one specifically designed for schoolchildren.

The Japanese singer-songwriter Ichiko Aoba, who is also recognised as a music publisher and acclaimed film composer, creates enchanting, ambient folk-pop songs that explore the boundaries between reality and fantasy. Her latest album, Luminescent Creatures from 2025, is considered one of the year’s most celebrated releases.

We heard him alongside Elīna Garanča in 2021 at Müpa Budapest, and he has since become one of the most sought-after singers of Puccini.

Soutoungoumba Diarra, aka Djely Tapa, originally moved from Mali to Canada to study aeronautics. It soon became clear to her, however, that she could not escape the family tradition of making music she had picked up during childhood.

Ganavya combines spiritual jazz, the classical music of Southern India, and ambient sounds with the help of her deeply touching voice.

Together with her internationally successful early music ensemble, L’Arpeggiata, harpist and theorbo-player Christina Pluhar are renowned for fashioning each and every concert programme out of a unique project.
